The biblical Hebrew lunisolar calendar

First month: Nisan or Abib (in the Bible) (March-April) (30 days)

Second month: Iyyar or Ziv (in the Bible) (April-May) (29 days)

Third month: Sivan (May-June) (30 days)

Fourth month: Tammuz (June-July) (29 days)

Fifth month: Ab (July-August) (30 days)

Sixth month: Eloul (August-September) (29 days)

Seventh month: Tishri or Ethanim (in the Bible) (September-October) (30 days)

Eighth month: Hesvan or Bul (in the Bible) (October-November) (29 or 30 days)

Ninth month: Chislev (November-December) (29 or 30 days)

Tenth month: Tebeth (December-January) (29 days)

Eleventh month: Shebat (January-February) (30 days)

Twelfth month: Adar (February-March) (29 or 30 days)

Thirteenth month: Adar II or Veadar (29 days)

The lunar year has 12 months of 29 or 30 days. The intercalary month (Veadar) is regularly added to compensate for the difference of 11 days between the lunar year (354 days) and the solar year (365 days). In this case, this year has exceptionally 13 months, it is a “lunisolar”. In the Bible there is no direct mention of this process in order to adjust the lunisolar calendar to the solar year. Nevertheless, indirect information shows that this adjustment was made. For example, some months had to coincide regularly with seasonal crops, either spring (Abib (Nisan): spring) or autumn (Ethanim (Tishri): autumn) (Exodus 23:15). It is obvious that the Israelites of the biblical times realized this adjustment by the addition of the intercalary month (Veadar). The festivals celebrated the month in spring, remained spring, over the years. And all the autumn festivals of the month of Tishri, remained autumnal, over the years (Leviticus 23:37).

Currently the adjustment system, used by the Hebrew calendar, is made with a “metonic cycle”: 7 adjustments with 7 lunisolar years of 13 months, over a period of 19 years.

The Planetary Jubilee

(Rectification)

(Leviticus 25:3-12)

INTRODUCTION

“For since the Law has a shadow of the good things to come, but not the very substance of the things, [men] can never with the same sacrifices from year to year which they offer continually make those who approach perfect” (Hebrews 10:1). The Mosaic Law has a prophetic value. Jesus Christ and Christianity are the expression of this prophetic reality: "For those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the Christ" (Colossians 2:17). The fulfillment from the great tribulation, until the end of the millennial reign of Christ, are part of this prophetic dimension of the Law (Revelation 19 and 20). By reading Leviticus Chapter 25, we will see that the fulfillment of the law of the Jubilee corresponds, with regard to the Day of Jehovah, the great tribulation, with the beginning of the resurrection.

The Sabbath Law to Jehovah and the rest for the land

"Six years you should sow your field with seed, and six years you should prune your vineyard, and you must gather the land’s produce. But in the seventh year there should occur a sabbath of complete rest for the land, a sabbath to Jehovah. Your field you must not sow with seed, and your vineyard you must not prune. The growth from spilled kernels of your harvest you must not reap, and the grapes of your unpruned vine you must not gather. There should occur a year of complete rest for the land" (Leviticus 25:3-5). Thus, the Israelites could sow their land for six years, and the seventh year was a Sabbath to Jehovah, a rest for the land. This law was applied for seven cycles of 6 years of agricultural work and 1 year of rest, leaving the land uncultivated, 7 times, (6 years more 1 year) which corresponds to 49 years. At the end of these 7 sabbatical cycles, there was the famous Jubilee, in the beginning of the year fifty...

The Jubilee Law

"And you must count for yourself seven sabbaths of years, seven times seven years, and the days of the seven sabbaths of years must amount to forty-nine years for you. And you must cause the horn of loud tone to sound in the seventh month on the tenth of the month; on the day of atonement you people should cause the horn to sound in all your land. And you must sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty in the land to all its inhabitants. It will become a Jubilee for you, and you must return each one to his possession and you should return each one to his family. A Jubilee is what that fiftieth year will become for you. you must not sow seed nor reap the land’s growth from spilled kernels nor gather the grapes of its unpruned vines. For it is a Jubilee. It should become something holy to you. From the field you may eat what the land produces" (Leviticus 25:8-12). After seven earthly sabbaths, that is, forty-nine years (7 x (6+1)=49 years), in the fiftieth year was proclaimed a Jubilee (7 x (6+1) + 1= 50 years).

How does the Jubilee have a link with Jehovah's Day, the Great Tribulation? On several biblical quotes we can understand that this Day will correspond to the planetary fulfillment of the Day of Atonement (Yom (Day) Kippur (Atonement)), which took place on Ethanim (Tishri), 10. However, the biblical text (written above) states that the law of the Jubilee, in this same Day, there was a proclamation of liberty throughout the country of all its inhabitants, in Ethanim (Tishri),10. In addition, in the prophecy of Jesus Christ, about the End of this system of things, he very clearly linked the End, the Great Tribulation, with the release of faithful humans, in a situation of waiting and observation of the fulfillment of the Sign of the End: "But as these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near" (Luke 21:28).

This, deliverance is a release. But what kind of release? The release of the adamic sinful law which inexorably leads to a death sentence, by aging, illness and death. It is the prophecy of Daniel, in the last part, chapter 12, which associates both, the Great Tribulation (the Day of Jehovah), which will be a planetary destruction (by God) of the human system, leading, then to the beginning of the resurrection: "During that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of your people. And there will occur a time of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, everyone who is found written down in the book. And many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up, some to everlasting life and others to reproach and to everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:1,2).

Without going into explanatory details, this resurrection of the prophecy of Daniel, seems to refer to the earthly resurrection which will have a selective judgment, also written in john 5:28.29. However, the law on the Jubilee stipulated that this proclamation had to be made by a powerful sound of a horn, on Ethanim (Tishri), 10. This powerful sound of horn or trumpet, is described by the apostle Paul, as being the beginning of a heavenly resurrection: "because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).

This resurrection is not the same as that mentioned in Daniel 12:2, because it is before the great tribulation and it is a heavenly resurrection. It will be before the great tribulation, corresponding to the death and the instantaneous resurrection of the remnant of the 144,000, on earth, which will go to heaven, before the great tribulation, and which are the earthly remnant of 7,000 (actually): "And in that hour a great earthquake occurred, and a tenth of the city fell; and seven thousand persons were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven" (Revelation 11:7-13).

The city represents the people of God. The fall of the tenth city, is the death and resurrection of the 144,000 kings and priests, as a fully constituted group in heaven, which at the same time will instantly bring about the death and resurrection of the remaining 7,000 of the heavenly group of 144,000. The "rest" of the city that will be afraid of this awesome event, and will give glory to God, are the great crowd that will come out of the great tribulation (Revelation 7:9-17). The Planetary Jubilee will be the release of the humankind imprisoned in the sinful law inherited from Adam (Romans 5:12 and 6:23). This release will be made by the healings of diseases and the rejuvenation, of the great crowd of those who will come out of the great tribulation, and after there will be the earthly resurrection of the dead of all humanity, during the millennial reign (Revelation 20 and 21:1-4).

This jubilee which will be fulfilled, will be the return of the dead to life and to their family with cries of joy. In addition, Leviticus 25 specifies that there will be a "return" in his property, which means that the resurrected one will henceforth have a property or an earthly lot which will belong to him for ever: "But as for you, go on to the end. You will rest, but you will stand up for your lot at the end of the days" (Daniel 12:13). This "lot" is double, with the everlasting life and an earthly property that the Owner of the Earth will have granted to him: "Because the land is mine" - Says Jehovah (Leviticus 25:23). In the following study, we will see if, on the basis of the Bible, the future Planetary Jubilee, is according to the calculation which would begin on the date of the creation of the first man, that is to say, the autumn 4026 BCE.

The Snare of the Year 4026 BCE

This date is based on the Gregorian Solar Calendar, which is manly used in the western part of the world. This biblical chronological calculation is very useful on a cultural way, because it allows to know historical times of biblical events: the creation of the first man (autumn 4026 BCE), the deluge of Noah (2370 BCE), The entry of Abraham and his family in the Promised Land (1943 BCE), the exit of the people of Israel from Egypt (1513 BCE)... However, the logical question is (Regarding the date of 4026 BCE): Is it logical to start the calculation of the cycles of Jubilees years on this date, to eventually know (maybe) the year of the Great Tribulation? The best example is the Jubilee Year, marking the 6000th year of the existence of first man, from the Autumn 1974 to Autumn 1975 (CE). This date was calculated from the date of 4026 BCE. Obviously, some Christians, logically, thought that this year could lead to the year of the great tribulation. Moreover, fifty years earlier, in 1925 (CE), Christians thought that there would be a resurrection of the princes of the kingdom (Psalms 45:16). These two examples of past chronological calculations show, in fact that the year 4026 BCE, by religious tradition, rules the cycle of the Jubilee, that could lead to the year of the great tribulation.

It is necessary to see if this date (4026 BCE), whether exact or not, must be taken into account for the calculation of a cycle of years that would lead to a Jubilee Year, which would be the Year of the Great Tribulation. It should be noted, that for all of these Christians who were interested in the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth, in a chronological way, the Day of Jehovah or the Great Tribulation, should correspond to the Divine Proclamation of a Planetary Jubilee Year.

By knowing the year in which this Jubilee Law was promulgated, one can easily know if Jehovah God, had decreed this cycle of the Jubilee, beginning from the year 4026 BCE (by calculation). At the beginning of this article, it can be read that the Israelites left Egypt in the spring (month of Nisan) of 1513 BCE. By reading the book of Exodus, particularly from chapter 20, the book of Leviticus and Numbers, God promulgated the Mosaic Law given to Israel. Among these hundreds of laws, there was the Law the Jubilee (Leviticus 25:3-5). When, the Israelites began the calculation of the 49 years and the year the Jubilee (50 years)? In 1513 BCE? Maybe. More probably from the year 1512 BCE, because it was written: "Now in the second year, in the second month, on the 20th day of the month, the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle of the Testimony. So the Israelites began to pull away from the wilderness of Sinai in the order established for their departure, and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paran" (Numbers 10:11-13).

The "second year", beginning from the first year, 1513 BCE, is 1512 BCE. The second month is the month of Ziv or Iyyar, the Ziv, 20 (in connection with the prophecy of Daniel, of the 2,300 evenings and mornings (Daniel 8:13.14)). This date of the month of Ziv of the year 1512 BCE, seemed important, from the point of view of God, because in the narrative of the beginning of the construction of the Temple of Solomon, it is linked with the year and the month of complete and functional construction of the tabernacle and The priesthood. It is written both this month and the year by chronological calculation (mentioning the 480 years which separated these two events): "In the 480th year after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year after Solomon became king over Israel, in the month of Ziv (that is, the second month), he began to build the house of Jehovah" (1 kings 6:1; see also 2 Chronicles 3:2 (the exact date of Ziv, 2)).

So, the year 1513 BCE, could be the first year the spiritual Jubilee on the level of the nation of Israel, by its release from Egypt. The year 1512 BCE was the beginning of the calculation of the number of years leading to the next jubilee (fifty years later). By examining the information from numbers 10:11-13, we note that the Jubilee Year of 1513 BCE and the beginning of the calculation leading to the next jubilee (1512 BCE), were not based on the year 4026 BCE. Subtracting 4026-1513 = 2513 years, 2513 is not a multiple of 50. The other very important information is that the year 1513 BCE was the year 1 (according to the divine decree), while the year 1512 BCE, is mentioned as the year 2. So, in the future, regarding the year of the Great Tribulation, it is God who will decide the Year of the Planetary Jubilee, also by decree and, it seems, not by chronological calculation based on the supposed date of the creation of the first man (Genesis 2:7).

ANNEX 1

In Revelation 11:19 the great tribulation will take place on a Ethanim (Tishri), 10

1 - “But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” And the temple sanctuary of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple sanctuary. And there were flashes of lightning and voices and thunders and an earthquake and a great hail” (Revelation 11:18,19): Revelation 11:19 is really the keystone of the Revelation given by God, through Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). This Revelation of God is the key to the understanding of all, the book of Revelation, but also of the other biblical prophecies (Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah, Revelation),  in which you can read indirectly the allusion of this famous date : TISHRI, 10.

2 - The prophecy of Daniel of the 2300 days mentions the date of Tishri (Ethanim), 10, in an encrypted way (by the end of this period). The 2300 days represent, 6 years (6 x 360 = 2160 days), 4 months (4 x 30 = 120 days), 20 days: 2160 + 120 + 20 = 2300 days.

However there is another way of calculating this period which is very strange and with the same result: 2300 days = 2520 days (7 prophetic years of 360 days) – 220 days.

220 Days = 7 prophetic months of 30 days + 10 days. The 7 months and ten days missing, seem to indicate that this period of 2300 days will end on Tishri (Ethanim), 10, that is to say the seventh month and the tenth day.

Doing the calculation starting from Tishri (Ethanim), 10, 2023, we get the following result: Tishri, 10, 2023 – 7 prophetic years = Tishri, 10, 2016. To this date add 7 prophetic months of 30 days: 1 - Hesvan,10 ; 2 – Kislev , 10 ; 3 – Tebeth, 10 ; 4 – Sevat, 10 ; 5 - Adar, 10 ; 6 – Nisan, 10 ; 7 - Iyar (Ziv), 10. To Iyar (Ziv), 10, we must add 10 days and we reach at Ziv (Iyar), 20, 2017. From Ziv (Iyar) 20, 2017 to Ethanim (Tishri), 10, 2023, there are 2300 days.

What is the meaning of Ziv (Iyar), 20, in the Bible? This date is directly linked to the prophecy of the 2300 days which mentions the “constant feature” (Daniel 8:13,14).

The biblical meaning of Ziv (Iyyar), 20

Ziv (Iyyar), 20 ("the second month, on the 20th day of the month"), the second month of the biblical year, is a very important anniversary date in connection with the "holy place" (Daniel 8:14): "Now in the second year, in the second month, on the 20th day of the month, the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle of the Testimony. So the Israelites began to pull away from the wilderness of Siʹnai in the order established for their departure, and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paʹran. This was the first time they departed following the order of Jehovah through Moses" (Numbers 10:11-13). Ziv 20, 1512 BCE, is the date of the first time, that Jehovah has a people of Holy Ones, represented by Israel, spiritually fully structured, with a temple, in the form of a tabernacle and an installed priesthood (with the process of "the continual sacrifice" (constant feature)).

The simple cross-checking of information from the 7 months period, with the period from Tishri 10th to Nisan 10th (6 months normally), we understand that there will be the intercalary month of Veadar: The year when the Great Tribulation will take place will be a Lunisolar Year of 13 months

ANNEX 2

THE GREAT TRIBULATION WILL TAKE PLACE

IN A LUNISOLAR YEAR OF 13 BIBLICAL MONTHS

The Western calendars are based on the Gregorian solar calendar of 365 days (Wikipedia Gregorian calendar).
Othes countries use the lunar calendar. The lunar year has between 354 and 355 days. There is therefore a difference of about 11 days between the solar calendar (365 days) and the lunar calendar (354 days). Nevertheless, the Hebrew lunar calendar, also takes into account the solar cycle of 365 days, so it is a "lunisolar" calendar (Wikipedia Hebrew lunar calendar).
The important points to know about the biblical calendar, like the Hebrew calendar, are the following (important to understand the biblical reasoning that will follow):
In the Bible, the days begin in the evening after the sunset. For example in Genesis 1:5, regarding the first day of the symbolic “And there was evening and there was morning, a first day".
In the Bible, the months began at the "new moon" (Psalms 81:3). Lunar months are either 30 or 29 days.

Nevertheless, at this stage of the study, there is a significant difficulty regarding the biblical definition of the new moon (Wikipedia New Moon). Some think that this is the moment when the moon completely disappears (in the current Hebrew calendar). Others think that this is the first crescent of the moon. For this reason, there is a special study of the theme of the New Moon that will indicate the necessary and important choice between these two options to determine exactly a biblical date (that of the memorial to the death of Jesus Christ (Nisan 14th) and Tishri 10th) (After this article (below)).

THE LUNISOLAR YEAR

In the book of Ezekiel we can understand that the year in which the Great Tribulation will occur will be Lunisolar, with 13 months, according to the Jewish calendar. In Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 we have the prophetic story of events before, during and after the Great Tribulation. After the Great Tribulation the prophecy gives the information of a seven-month period of cleansing the Earth: "The house of Israel will spend seven months burying them in order to cleanse the land" (Ezek. 39:12-14). How would this simple information make us understand that this would be a year of 13 months?

According to Revelation 11:19 the Great Tribulation will take place a Tishri 10th. At the end of the seven months written in Ezekiel 39: 12-14, it is written that the prophet had the vision of the Temple which represents the dominion of the Kingdom of God on earth, a certain in Nisan 10th: " In the 25th year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the 14th year after the city had fallen, on that very day the hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he took me to the city" (Ezekiel 40:1).

New Moon

"Blow the horn on the new moon, On the full moon, for the day of our festival"

(Psalms 81:3)

There are two definitions of the new moon:

1 - "The new moon is the first lunar phase, when the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude. At this phase, the lunar disk is not visible to the unaided eye, except when silhouetted during a solar eclipse. Daylight outshines the earthlight that dimly illuminates the dark side of the new Moon. The actual phase is usually a very thin crescent because the Moon rarely passes directly in front of the Sun, except in a solar eclipse" (Wikipedia New Moon).

2 - "The original meaning of the term new moon, which is still sometimes used in non-astronomical contexts, was the first visible crescent of the Moon, after conjunction with the Sun. This crescent Moon is briefly visible when low above the western horizon shortly after sunset and before moonset" (Wikipedia New Moon).

The first definition of the new moon, is corroborated by what is written in Psalms 81:3: "Blow the horn on the new moon, On the full moon, for the day of our festival". According to the context of this Psalm, it is the festival of booths which was celebrated from Ethanim 15th (Tishri 15) to Ethanim 22nd. It was an autumn festival, in the time of the last harvests. While the festival of unfermented cakes, was celebrated from Nisan 15 to 22, in the spring, at the beginning of the first harvests.

In Psalms 81:1 it is written: "Shout joyfully to God our strength. Shout in triumph to the God of Jacob". The festival that most symbolized the joy and exuberance, was undoubtedly the fest of booths. Regarding it, Jehovah had told Moses, for his people Israel: "Seven days you will celebrate the festival to Jehovah your God in the place that Jehovah chooses, for Jehovah your God will bless all your produce and all that you do, and you will become nothing but joyful" (Deuteronomy 16:15 (see verse 13)). The expression of Psalms 81, "Shout joyfully to God our strength", describes perfectly the feeling of joy asked by God, in Deuteronomy 16:15. The complete appearance of the "full moon", marking the middle of the lunar month, is in the poetic contrast to the "new moon", which is at this stage, invisible, and represents the start of the month.

By the way, if you look at the astronomical table of the lunar cycle, you will notice that the full moon lasts about three nights, and the new moon, its disappearance, for three nights, in general. It is also interesting to note that David, fleeing from before king Saul, associated the new moon with three days during which he could hide (1 Samuel 20: 5). Is it a simple coincidence? Not necessarily, if one thinks of the three moonless nights, the period of the "new moon", allowing him to hide safely, without being surprised in his sleep.

Regarding Psalms 81:1,3, the astronomical tables of the lunar cycles, if we go back, starting from the full moon (whether it's the Tishri, 15 or the Nisan, 15), we arrive at the beginning of the month, at the new moon, at the moment "when the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude" and therefore, it is invisible (http://pgj.pagesperso-orange.fr/calendar.htm). In the example presented in the photo (above), of the lunar cycle of May 2019: After the sunset of May, 17 to May 18, is the full moon, biblically speaking, the 15th of the month of "Iyyar" (or Ziv), of the Hebrew month. Going back fifteen days, we reach the date of Iyyar 1st (biblical month), May 3rd, 2019 (gregorian calendar), after sunset.

Nevertheless, in the current Hebrew calendar (Hebrew Calendar - Chiourim (In French)), Iyyar 1st is after the sunset of May 5th to May 6, 2019, there are two days late (See photo to the right). In this case, it is the chosen option of "the first visible crescent of the Moon" (see photo above, comparing it to the Hebrew Calendar (in Jerusalem). What option to choose? The invisible new moon or the first visible crescent?

The Biblical Tishri 10, corresponds to 22 (after sundown) / 23 September 2023, the date from the summer solstice to the autumnal equinox (early winter, according to the Bible (Zechariah 14: 8 ))

ANNEX 3

"It will happen in summer and in winter"

(Zechariah 14:8)

(Rectification)

In the former interpretation of this biblical verse (on this site), it was written that Ethanim (Tishri), 10, corresponding to the Jehovah's Day (the great tribulation), should exactly correspond to the passage, from summer, to the autumn equinox, depending on the solar calendar system on September, 23. However, this interpretation is an anachronism in the biblical context. Why? If there were very old solar calendars in that times, they were not used in the Hebrew and biblical lunisolar calendar system (and even less the Julian and later the Gregorian calendars (used in the Western Part of the World). Consequently, to link the date of an Ethanim (Tishri), 10, in a Biblical lunisolar calendar system, with a September, 23, of a Gregorian solar calendar system, is a real anachronism...

The expression "It will happen in summer and in winter", must be understood in an otherwise. In fact, this expression is used in a different way (but synonymous), in another part of the Bible, referring to the day of the festival of booths: "And you will celebrate your Festival of Weeks with the first ripe fruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year" (Exodus 34:22). The Festival of Weeks alludes to the Pentecost of Sivan, 6, in the spring season. Festival of Ingathering, alludes to the day of Festival of Booths, in the autumn season, linked with this famous "turn of the year". By making the connection of this last expression, with that of Zechariah 14:8b, it is likely the Ethanim (Tishri), 15, of the Lunisolar calendar. It was the official passage from summer, to winter (autumn), without taking into account the astronomical autumn equinox of a solar calendar (September, 23), which did not exist in the biblical times (Hebrew). Of course, to find out the necessity to add an intercalary month, currently called Veadar (Adar II), they must take into account the number of days following the Ethanim, 15, the official change of season, with the day when they could observe the equality between the day and night (the observed astronomical equinox). This important aspect of the lunisolar calendar is in an another page.

The context of Zachariah 14, justly alludes to the Festival of Booths: "Everyone who is left remaining out of all the nations that come against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to bow down to the King, Jehovah of armies, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths. But if anyone among the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to bow down to the King, Jehovah of armies, no rain will fall on them.  And if the family of Egypt does not come up and does not come in, they will have no rain. Instead, they will have the scourge with which Jehovah scourges the nations that do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Booths. This will be the punishment for the sin of Egypt and the sin of all the nations that do not come up to celebrate the Festival of Booths" (Zechariah 14:16-19).

Zechariah Chapter 14, both alluded to Jehovah's Day, the great tribulation, with the dramatic events that result from it (see verses 14:1-7,12-15). These dramatic events will take place on Ethanim (Tishri), 10, during the planetary fulfillment of the Atonement Day, the great tribulation. This celebration was dramatic and sad (Leviticus 16:29-31). On the other hand, Zechariah 14:8b, is to be put in the context of the Festival of the Booths: "In that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea. It will happen in summer and in winter". The "living waters" is a joyful, soothing situation, as Earthly Paradise. This situation is to be linked to the context of the Festival of Booths, a joyful moment: "Seven days you will celebrate the festival to Jehovah your God in the place that Jehovah chooses, for Jehovah your God will bless all your produce and all that you do, and you will become nothing but joyful" (Deuteronomy 16:15, to compare with Zechariah 14:8-11,16-19). If in one hand, the date of Ethanim (Tishri), 15, is no doubt in the context of Zechariah 14, in the other hand, that of Ethanim (Tishri),10, maybe, appears in a much less obvious way. It could be the allusion to the holiness of God: "In that day the words ‘Holiness belongs to Jehovah!’ will be written on the bells of the horses. And the cooking pots in the house of Jehovah will be like the bowls before the altar" (Zechariah 14:20). The celebration of the Day of planetary Atonement, the Great Tribulation, will be the celebration of the Holiness of God. But also it will be the complete disappearance of the "Canaanite": "In that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Jehovah of armies" (Zechariah 14:21)... Understand who can...

Can we know?

"Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming"

(Matthew 24:42)

"Certainly unless you wake up, I will come as a thief, and you will not know at all at what hour I will come upon you"

(Apocalypse 3:3)

These two biblical quotes, show that it is advisable to answer, depending on the context. The answer of the first biblical quote, is that we cannot know the moment or the date of the Great Tribulation, while the second text suggests that this ignorance will not be permanent, so as not to be surprised.

Sometimes the Bible, in the same chapter, expresses the thesis and the antithesis of a situation: "Do not answer the stupid one according to his foolishness, so that you do not put yourself on his level. Answer the stupid one according to his foolishness, so that he does not think he is wise" (Proverbs 26:4,5). The verse 4 is a thesis that makes it clear, in certain situations, it is advisable not to respond to a stupid man, in order to avoid the snare of being discredited, by lowering oneself in the level of his stupidity. The verse 5 is an antithesis, which shows that in a different context, someone can be in the duty to respond to the stupid, in order to put him in front of his own foolishness. It is the insight, that makes it possible to understand the nuances of an answer to a situation, or to a specific question (Hebrews 5:14).

The different approaches to the question above are the following: in the current state of things, there is no certainty on a possible date. However, that does not mean that Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ, will constantly leave us in this uncertainty: "For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7). There are biblical teaching points that allow the date, to be fixed in a kind of year (which is currently not known with certainty): the Ethanim (Tishri), 10, and the kind of year, lunisolar year of 13 months (Apocalypse 11:19 (Tishri, 10); Ezékiel 39:14 (seven months of earth cleaning); 40:1,2 (Nisan, 10)). However, it is not enough.

In order to target this information, in a specific year, we must see the simultaneous fulfillment of prophecies that converge on this date and specific year. This is why there is no certainty. In doing so, the only way of observation is to use the biblical information, on the date and the kind of year, comparing with the observed fulfillment of the prophecies. By presenting a “landmark date”, without necessarily saying that it will be the date of the Day of Jehovah, it will be compared with the progress of the worldwide events, to understand the possible convergence with this day and specific year (the landmark date)... Here is the landmark date, that is to say the closest to biblical standards (understood):

Tishri, 10, 2026

Saturday evening, after the sunset in Jerusalem,

September 19, to Sunday, September 20, 2026

(New Astronomical Moon)

It has only a benchmark value (it will not be qualified as the date of the Day of Jehovah (great tribulation)), in order to proceed to the gradual observation of world events, with regard to both, of the biblical prophecies and this landmark date. Updates will be made when there will be significant global events. They will be announced on the home page of the site (as it is the case currently).

As for the Official Date of the Yom Kippur 2026, it will take place on the basis of the religious (or ecclesiastical) new moon (the new religious moon is based on the Chiourim calendar (French edition)), September 20, 2026 (one day late). Here is also the dates of the years 2024 and 2025, regarding the Ethanim (Tishri), 10, based on the new astronomical moon and the new religious moon (with 1 or 2 days late): Ethanim (Tishri),10, 2024: October 10/11, 2024 (new astronomical moon); October 11/12, 2024 (new religious moon). It should be noted that on the basis of the year 4026 BCE, a traditional date of the year of creation of the man Adam, the year starting with the autumn of 2024, to the autumn of 2025, will be jubilee and will represent the year 6050, of the existence of man on earth, according to the biblical chronology (Genesis 2:7). Ethanim (Tishri),10, 2025: September, 29/30, 2025 (new astronomical moon); October 1/2 2025 (new religious moon). The years, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 will not be lunisolar. The year, 2026/2027 will be a lunisolar year (with the intercalary month of Veadar (or Adar II)).

These details are given in order to demonstrate that all the interpretative options are taken into account and the earlier the kingdom of God will be established on earth, better that will be (Matthew 6:9,10)... The comments of these articles will be regularly updated, as the worldwide events are evolving, and at the same times bringing us irretrievably closer, to the Day of Jehovah (Joel 2:1). It is necessary to continue to be patient in the waiting for Jehovah God: "Good it is to wait in silence for the salvation of Jehovah" (lamentations 3:26). "But as for me, I will keep on the lookout for Jehovah. I will show a waiting attitude for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me" (Micah 7:7).
